Do you believe passion or market research is important when starting a business?
Posted by: Debashis - 09-24-2023, 07:08 AM - Forum: Start-ups - Replies (5)

Do you believe that passion alone, without extensive market research, is enough to successfully launch and sustain a business, or do you think that a careful balance between passion and market research is crucial when starting a business? How have your personal experiences shaped your perspective on this matter, and can you share any examples where passion and market research played pivotal roles in the success or failure of a startup?

  How's your credit score?
Posted by: Debashis - 09-23-2023, 07:05 AM - Forum: Personal Loan & Debt Repayment - No Replies

For people who are not aware of what a credit score is - It is a number that depicts a consumer's creditworthiness. The higher it is, the easier you'll be given loans.  It just defines how disciplined you are in paying back borrowed amounts.

So, coming to the topic, are you having a good credit score? How are you contributing to its improvement currently?

Personally, I have no loans or anything. I just use credit cards and pay the bills before the due date in full amount. This is what helps me in improving my credit score every month.

  Tips to save money
Posted by: Debashis - 09-23-2023, 06:59 AM - Forum: Saving Money - Replies (2)

Let's use this thread to share our tips to save money. I think it will be really helpful for the members who are struggling to save money regularly.

I would suggest not to spend more than 50% of your monthly total income (from all sources). Make a list of everything you spend on during the month, track and see how much you spend on them in total. If you see them exceeding half of your income, then see among the things you are spending, which ones are not really necessary to spend on. Try to strike them off. It is important to be disciplined in life. If not, it will haunt you badly someday.

More than 1 source of income - Important?
Posted by: Debashis - 09-23-2023, 06:47 AM - Forum: Generating Income - Replies (1)

Do you feel it is extremely important in today's world to have more than one source of income? If so, why? If not, why not?

I feel it is really important to have more than one source of income. No matter you are doing a job or having a business, having at least one more source of income will be very beneficial. Initially, it might not generate as much as your primary source of income does but eventually, it will. I think everyone should have at least 3 sources of income. If something goes wrong with one of them, you'll still have two in hand. It is good to have multiple sources of income, but among them, it's best to have a few passive ones. If you actively have to work for all the sources of income then it will kill your work-life balance and also it will have a negative impact on your health and relationships. That's not at all recommended.

  Health insurance in other countries
Posted by: The Raven - 09-22-2023, 03:38 PM - Forum: Health Insurance - Replies (1)

One of the most common country people use when comparing health insurance is USA. Probably the reason for this is the insane amount of costs people have to pay there, even small things like calling ambulance t  to take you to hospital. For example, in my country, you can pay insurance by yourself or it will be payed to you by employer each month. When you are ill you go to a doctor and pay absolutely nothing for any checkup. Even if you have an accident and you need surgery, it is done for free. No additional pays like thousands of dollars.

Thoughts on this?

  Online english tutor
Posted by: The Raven - 09-22-2023, 03:32 PM - Forum: Generating Income - Replies (2)

There is this company Engoo who offers people around the world to become tutors for Asian students considering they are really bad when it comes to English. They pay you 1.4 dollars per 25 minute class (one on one). Sometimes you have bonuses depending on promotion. When I did this aside, 4 hours per day, I could earn 200 dollars. So, it doesn't take that much time but you can earn. If you work full time, and have strong base of students, you can earn above 400 dollars. It seems small for top tier countries but for poor countries is more than minimum wage in those countries, plus you work from home.

So, if anyone is interested: https://engoo.com/app/teach
Also, you don't have to work there to have free material: https://engoo.com/app/materials/en

Consider these materials as my gift to you Wink

Do your company enrol to health insurance?
Posted by: Henrywrites - 08-27-2023, 06:56 PM - Forum: Health Insurance - Replies (2)

Health insurance is a very important aspect of insurance that I believe that most companies should adopt. This is because company hazards can occur anytime and activating the insurance is a good approach. Is the company where you are working at enrolled with any health insurance company?
