Your business audience are your business direct customers. Without them, there's no need to set up your business in the first place. This is why it's very important to identify them very early and know exactly what they want. This is how you can deliver on their needs to keep buying from your business.

Of course, when you are running ads, you might want to narrow your search to a specific group. Otherwise, you could be throwing away money as you're not getting the best value for your dollar. I mean, losses like that can be very bad for a business or at least something that is keeping you from your true potential.

You should not open a child care store and toys shop in an area dominated by students. There would be little to no sales because the target audience is not there. It is important to know who it is you want to sell to, and make sure you have enough access to them.

Ensuring that you target the right audience is key. When you are selling a product to someone who needs it, it is quite easier for it to work.

This is very correct. Doing something like this is going to be like putting a square peg in a round hole which is never going to work because the available customers you are opening that business for are not going to be interested in buying that products.

I will always tell anyone who cares to listen that finding out how to handle your prospective customers and discovering what they want is the basic thing at this point.
