My mother in law tried her hardest to get on Medicare and was denied so she's on my father in law's insurance. I'm sure once she reaches the age of 65 she might be eligible to get on Medicare. I have a uncle on Medicare right now, that helps pay for the assistant living facility he lives in.

In most cases, your health insurance might be able to cover the costs of your prescriptions or at least offer access to services such as GoodRX. Once I pay off my deductible my insurance covers the costs of my prescriptions pretty well, though it takes a bit to actually reach my deductible. This might change once I add my spouse to my insurance again, then there will be a dependent who can help reach the deductible. Does your health insurance do a good job on paying for your prescriptions?
