Did your parents encourage you to save?
#1
I know from a very young age my parents would encourage me to save my money and not just spend it because it was there and just because I wanted to. I was always taught by my parents and my family to always wait and save my money until there was something I saw that I really wanted and then I would have the funds for it and be happy that I spent my money on something I really wanted instead of just on something because it was there.

Did your parents or any other family member ever encourage you to save when you were younger? Do they ever still encourage you now that you are older to still save?

I honestly wish my parents taught me how to save money. Though to be fair, they were never good about saving their own money either, so it's not a skill they were really good at either. My grandmother used to tell me sometimes to try and save, but at the time I had my first job my parents were relying on me to help pay for food, utilities and other needs. I also made minimum wage at the time, which was only $7.20. :\ I didn't really have much left over after each pay check to really save...
