Have you ever needed to claim on your travel insurance?

Having travel insurance is always wise so that you have that peace of mind when you travel that you have some kind of security should anything happen whilst you are away from your country traveling. As much as you have that in place you don't always want to have to claim on it but in some cases, you may have to for many reasons when traveling. 

Have you ever had to claim on your travel insurance? What was the reason for your claim and was it a straightforward process or was it time-consuming?

Unfortunately, I don't have a travle insurance in place, but my junior brother does because he is still a student and I can remember them paying him some insurance money when they had some issues on his trip back to school some years ago. Travel insurance is great for anyone always on the move.
