Do You Have Amazon Merch Business
#1
Amazon Merch is a Print-On-Demand Program from eCommerce giant Amazon. You can access it through merch.amazon.com. It is a free program for graphic designers and digital artists to sell their designs and arts as prints on various merchandise. You create a design, upload on the platform, you sell the product. Amazon creates the products and ships to the buyers and you collect your profits. You create and sell products while Amazon prints as well as ships the products.

Pros
  • It is completely free program availably globally.
  • You can sell on Amazon store without having to manufacture or ship products
  • You set your own price.
  • You receive monthly payments
  • You can sign in with your Amazon account, no need to create a different account.
  • No inventory risk as your products are created only when someone orders for it, so, you do not incur any charges.
  • You sell under Amazon brand
  • From t-shirts to hoodies, you can sell cloths, bags, caps, mugs, etc.

Cons
  • Selling is very competitive as this program is also used by big companies, thus, making indie artists and sellers difficult to sell.
  • You might have to be SEO expert to rank your products on Amazon search
  • You have to be digital marketing expert to generate sales.
  • You might have to spend a lot of money on advertising.

I know that Amazon offered their own print-on-demand program and I have looked into it in the past but it is not something I went forward with.

It is a great way to be able to earn extra money for sure but the competition is going to be difficult to beat I would have thought. If you have the time and ideas I would definitely give this a try though.

I would not do this because the risks are very high now because the competition is simply incredible and as you wrote, the costs for advertising can be very high, not everyone is ready for this, so it is better to choose something else.

As I consider the many success stories of valuable business started for nearly nothing, I could make a big splash and "do it right."
