SEO and Digital Marketing
#1
When you run your own store, it's crucial for both your store and products to show up high on search engines. Let's say someone types in "Buy T-shirts." If your T-shirt pops up at the top of the search results, the buyer is more likely to choose your product. To make this happen, you have to do SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for your store and product listings. This helps your store get a good ranking on search engines.
But if you can't snag that high ranking, don't worry – it doesn't mean you can't sell T-shirts. You have another option: Search Engine Marketing. This involves getting your product listed at the top as a paid ad. Even if you're selling on big platforms like Amazon, eBay, or Etsy, you still need to aim for a good ranking within that specific platform. And guess what? That also involves using SEO skills. If that seems too tricky, the alternative is running ads for your products. Many online marketplaces offer CPC (Cost Per Click) advertising, meaning you only pay when someone clicks on your ad. So, whether you're running your own store or selling on a big platform, getting noticed often comes down to mastering these strategies.
