There is this thought that there is always a possibility that a worker can fall sick at least thrice a year. When it comes to a worker falling ill, what would you say should be the basic consideration in granting a sick leave? Do you consider how many times they've taken leave for the month or it doesn't matter at all?

As a human being, someone is meant is get ill. This is why I don't take it hard on my employees for asking for sick leave but when it becomes too much, I'll consider letting the worker go. I can grant sick leave twice in a year which will be 1 week off maximum.

It is clear to me that there is a certain norm for employees, because every employer wants the employee to work as much as he is paid, but a person is not a robot and you cannot program yourself to get sick 3 times a year. Therefore, if this happens more often, of course, everyone will be angry, but he cannot ask an employee to work when he simply cannot physically and must understand his problem.
