Stock Market Crashes

The big one is 1929 is well known and also the one in 2008.  Anyway, the 1929 one was bigger and the 2008 one was not the end of the world for most people (aside from big investors, some of whom committed suicide, sadly).

OK, what do you feel caused the crashes in history?  Well, with the 1929 one, it had roots in World War I and unwise speculation in stocks during The Roaring 20s in the USA.

As far as I'm concerned, it's all just people's panic. Many were convinced that it was a bubble that would burst soon, while others thought that everything would always be fine, and that's why some niches remained in the red while big money did its thing. All those who simply followed their strategy remained in the plus.
