In my case, one day I decided that constantly sending out my resume was a waste of time. I decided to hire myself and work from home online. Fortunately, my kids paid the Internet bill. I had worked outside the home for over 20 years. I figured out what skills I had from my work experience that I could adapt to do work online. If I did not have the skills, figured out how I could learn them. From that point, I started trying to create income streams. While working online I met other people who were trying to do the same thing. We shared experiences, ideas, sources, and resources. Below is a list of ideas. I am engaged in 3 on the list and always looking for more ideas. I'm home all day. As long as I can work, I try to stay busy with income-earning projects.

Renting out a room seems the quickest money to me. In fact, in one small town I was at, the homeless population was around 90. It's unbelievable!

These are some great ways to build multiple income sources and there are a great range of options to be able to build up that income.

I myself not only work freelance but I am also a video game content creator. At the moment I make more in freelancing than I do in video game content creation but I am hoping when I get back, that will change and I will be able to build a good income both freelancing and in video game content creation.

Building multiple income sources involves diversifying your streams of revenue. Start by investing in stocks or real estate for passive income. Launch a side business, like an e-commerce store, to generate sales. Freelance in your area of expertise, such as graphic design or writing, for additional earnings. Create and sell digital products, like e-books or online courses. For example, someone might work a full-time job, freelance as a web developer, and earn royalties from self-published books.
