What was the most expensive thing you ever saved for?

Everyone in life will either have done or will need to save up for something that is really expensive. Something that is really expensive is not always an option to be able to buy right off the bat and does take quite some saving up. 

What was the most expensive thing you saved up for?

When I was younger, I saved up for a Xbox 360. That was the most expensive thing I've saved for, I believe the console cost me about $250 which isn't too much but at the time I was barely making any money working at a local grocery store.
