What helped you cope when you experienced losses during your business starting point?

The beginning of any business is not smooth always. The business plan may work at some point but there will either losses or lack of more sales. If you had started a small business, when you experienced losses or was having low sales, how did you cope with it? How did you manage to turn things around?

For me I believe it was the fact that I had the understanding that notting good comes easy. I just saw my losses as a lesson to learn to be better.
